6 weeks 4 days pregnant; baby #2

Here are my battle wounds. :] Sorry for the late update, but I just wanted to wait until I had gone to the doctor for my follow up, which ended up mainly being an ultrasound because they want to wait until I’m a little further along to do my blood work. I go back on Dec. 2 for blood work, exam and ultrasound.

Meet baby K. The first u/s is real size, the second is zoomed in so we could see him/her better as well as see the heartbeat flickering. It was too soon to hear or measure the heartbeat but we saw it flickering, so that of course eased our mind.

Scare of a Lifetime

While most mommys-to-be are getting excited about the start of their pregnancy, I was sitting in the emergency room experiencing something no parent should ever have to. I was told after five hours of waiting that ‘it seemed that I had the symptoms of a eptopic (or tubal) pregnancy.’

It all started around 4:30 on Monday evening, I had the worst stomach pains I had ever had. So, my husband and mom took me to the ER to make sure that the baby and I were okay. We waitwe for the doctor to come in, they did an exam and decided to send me for an ultrasound, the doctor came in to tell me the results and stated that there was so much blreding in my abdomin that they couldn’t see the baby. They called my OBGYN to come in and make the final call. She rushed me to surgery. They went in laparoscopically with the intentions to remove the blood, and possibly one of my tubes and ovaries, as well as possibly doing a d&c. I was terrified.

Three hours later, I’m out of surgery and they tell me that they removed a pint and a half of blood, but that’s all! A miracle!! The baby was safe and sound in my uterus. Thank God.

I’m very sore but very thankful that the baby & I are okay. Prayers for the baby to stay strong would be more than appreciated.

Happy or moody most of the time: I’m happy to be pregnant and I feel so grateful but at the same time the exhaustion is making me moody!
